GCSE Results 2023

Huge congratulations to the Mossbourne Community Academy class of 2023 for achieving exceptional GCSE results. Year on year, MCA pupils prove that dedication, hard work and ambition ensure brilliant futures.

The Year 11 class of 2023 celebrated top results across the board, with 19% of all grades awarded being a grade 9; 52% of all grades were 7+ and 81% of all grades were 5+. An impressive 74% of students gained a GCSE pass of grade 5 or above in both English and Maths and 86% of students gained a GCSE pass of grade 4 or above in both English and Maths. A total of 11 exceptional students have an average point score of grade 9 which means they scored grades 9 in at least 10 subjects.

• 5+ Ebacc: 64%
• 7+ in English: 66%
• 7+ in mathematics: 41%
• 7+ in science: 51%
• 7+ in languages: 51%
• 7+ in humanities: 50%
• 7+ in biology: 100%
• 7+ in physics: 100%
• 7+ in chemistry: 100%
• 50% or more students entered achieved 7+ in the following subjects: English literature, French, Latin, Turkish, Religious Studies, Sociology, Psychology,  PE and V Cert Health and Fitness.
• At least 1 grade 9: 126 students (60% of the cohort)
• A8 of 9.00: 11 students  
• A8 of 8.00 or better: 49 students (23% of the cohort)
• A8 of 7.00 or better 87 students (41% of the cohort)
