On Saturday 15th May 2021 Mossbourne organised a fixture against St Pauls Boys and Girls School. Unfortunately, due to injury and illness St Pauls Girls School had to withdraw leaving our girls 8+ to join in with the boys racing.
St Pauls boated 4 Year 9 8+’s to race our Boys top 8+ and Girls top 8+.
St Pauls are one of the best private school rowing clubs in the country and regularly medal at the National Schools Regatta and have recently won Henley Royal Regatta at 6th Form level.
We raced over 1000m, which is the distance year 9 crews will race at National Schools Regatta. St Pauls A+B crews took a narrow lead off the start but Mossbourne steadily worked their way through the field taking the lead at halfway and finishing half a length in front of all 4 St Pauls crews by the finish line.
