MOSSBOURNE SIXTH FORM STUDENTS ONCE MORE CELEBRATE INCREDIBLE A LEVEL RESULTS SUCCESS

Mossbourne Sixth Form Students Once More Celebrate Incredible A Level Results Success

There was both jubilation and tears of happiness at Mossbourne Sixth Form in Hackney today as students celebrated brilliant A Level results.

These results are particularly impressive as this is the first year that grading has returned to pre-pandemic standards; however, the grades achieved by pupils at Mossbourne Sixth Form buck national trends and outstrip 2019 grades.

A phenomenal 49.2% of all grades achieved were grades A*- A, whilst 81% of all grades achieved were grades A*- B and 96% of students gained A*-C grades in every subject they studied.

Just some of the standout achievements include:

  • Luke Thorne achieved A*, A*, A*, A*, A* including the EPQ. Luke will go on to study Natural Sciences at University of Cambridge.
  • Joseph Beckett achieved A*, A*, A*. Joseph will study PPE at University of Oxford.
  • Alba Gibbs Joffe achieved A*, A*, A* and will study History at University of Cambridge.
  • Enoch Bedzo-Nutakor secured a place to undertake a prestigious Level 6 degree apprenticeship at Bloomberg whilst Ayodimeji Olawaiye secured an equally impressive apprenticeship at Jaguar Land Rover.

 

Elida Arslan, winner of the Bourne University Bursary, a monetary award which supports one Mossbourne pupil during three years of university, achieved A*, A, A, and will study medicine at UCL.

Across the board, Mossbourne students have bright futures ahead of them.

At the time of writing:

  • 16 students are heading to Oxbridge
  • 8 students have gained a place at medical school
  • 3 students will be studying architecture

It will be brilliant to see what they go on to achieve and it is wonderful to see them following their own interests with such ambition and dedication. It fills me with optimism that they will be the leaders of the next generation and I am excited to see the impact they will have on society.
