Just before half term, students in Y13, Y12 and Y11 took part in a French language immersion trip to Paris, experiencing the language and culture at first hand.
Visits to iconic landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre Museum provided valuable opportunities to practise speaking and listening in authentic situations, including ordering food, asking for directions and conversing with native speakers.
The trip greatly enhanced students’ confidence, fluency and comprehension, broadened their practical vocabulary, and deepened their cultural understanding. It offered clear linguistic benefits for all year groups and made a positive contribution to their progress in French. Well done to all students, who represented the school with grace and maturity throughout the trip and thank you to Ms Yao for organising such a memorable and enriching experience.
