GCSE Results 2021

Huge congratulations to the Mossbourne Community Academy class of 2021 for achieving exceptional GCSE results in under the most challenging of years. Year on year, MCA pupils prove that dedication, hard work and ambition ensure brilliant futures.

 

  • The average GCSE grade was 6.52. In 2019 the national average GCSE grade was 4.3
  • 18% of all GCSE grades were 9
  • 56% of all GCSE grades were 7+
  • 95% all GCSE grades were 5+
  • 5+ in English & Maths (Basics):75%
  • 4+ in English & Maths (Basics): 86%
  • 5+ Ebacc: 66% (92% entered)
  • 7+ in English: 66%
  • 7+ in mathematics: 52%
  • 7+ in science: 49%
  • 7+ in languages: 51%
  • 7+ in humanities: 51%
  • 7+ in biology: 97%
  • 7+ in physics: 90%
  • 7+ in chemistry: 87%
  • VCert Health and fitness Distinction (grade 7+): 87%
  • 93% of students entered achieved grade 7+ in French. 86% of students taking GCSE Turkish achieved grade 7+.
  • 50% or more students entered achieved 7+ in the following subjects: English Literature, computing, German,  history, drama, music, PE, food technology, astronomy and sociology.
  • 4 students achieved grade 9 for every single grade (between 10 and 11 GCSEs).
  • At least 1 grade 9:91 students (43% of the cohort)
  • A8 of 9.00: 12 students (5.7% of the cohort)
  • A8 of 8.00 or better: 53 students (25% of the cohort)
  • A8 of 7.00 or better 98 students (46.2% of the cohort)
